We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be enthusiastic, motivated and able to work well in a very fast paced environment. Having worked in a similar role within the hospitality industry, you will be a team player with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the management of the daily operations of the restaurant.
    Briefing staff on the operation, including dietary dishes of the day and out of stock items
    Development and training of staff
    Maintaining high standards of service
    Opening and/or closing of the Venue
    Oversee and allocate staff breaks whilst maintaining wage cost targets
    Processing & reconciling POS, EFT terminals and complete end of day financial reporting
    Attending management briefings and meetings
    Monitor venue ambiance, including lighting, sound/music, venue cleanliness and table setups
    Display strong leadership and generate a fun and positive working environment for the restaurant team
    Administrative duties such as bookings and emails

Essential skills:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a restaurant supervisory/management position
    Experience in cafes or breakfast venues is preferred
    Approved managers certification
    Be able to work in a high-volume, high-pressure environment
    Have a passion for delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction
    Have strong leadership skills
    H&L (POS) Knowledge is highly regarded
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    Time management and multi-tasking skills

This is a live-on Island position, and accommodation is provided on top of the salary package.
