Post is COMO The Treasury’s city osteria, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Post takes its name from the location – the franking room of Perth’s original General Post Office in the State Buildings.

The Head Chef role

Post is the main restuarant for our 5 star, luxury hotel, COMO The Treasury. This hands on role will not only see you responsible for Post Restaurant on a day to day basis, you will also look after our events and oversee the team who create sensational afternoonteas in our Cape Arid Room. Our Team’s Cafe Chef, who is responsible for preparing our teams delicious meals, also reports into this position. You can expect to collaborate with some of WA’s best producers, suppliers and service some of Perth’s most unique functions.
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery along with 2 years’ experience in a Head Chef role. You will have a strong awareness and understanding of produce, variety of culinary techniques and day to day management of a busy, fast paced kitchen including assisting in menu planning, purchasing, stock control, education and supervision of staff. Understanding and experience in Italian cuisine is desirable as is previous experience in a luxury hotel environment.
The role will require an exceptional level of grooming and personal presentation, attention to detail and ability to demonstrate impeccable communication skills. Well developed leadership skills are essential, as is a passion for mentoring your team.
