About the Role
The Sporting Globe Rockingham, Western Australia is looking for an experienced Sous Chef.
This position covers all the aspects of operations within the kitchen environment. It requires a strong work ethic, team focused attitude, leadership qualities as well as the ability to follow directions from the executive chef and management team.
Your daily duties would include but not be limited to:
Ensuring that all meals are cooked in a manner which adheres to the venues recipe & plating guides as well as ensuring all meals are served in a timely manner and are of the highest possible quality.
Checking that staff are allocated sections and secondary duties throughout their shifts, as well as managing general kitchen operations in conjunction with the Sous Chef.
Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen, that adheres to all food preparation and cleanliness guidelines. Also ensuring staff are following the kitchen cleaning systems.
Help improve current menu items and to develop specials and LTO’s (limited time offers)
Stock ordering, Delivery receipts and temperature logs etc.
As an integral part of the Team you’ll be/have:
Fully Trade Qualified
Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery
Level 2 First Aid Certification
Ability to cook a broad range of food items.
Experience with kitchen operations and functions.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work in a high stress environment.
Ability to follow and give direction when required.
