About the Role

This role, based at our Perth operations centre in Balcatta and reporting to the Reservations Manager, is an integral team focussed role in a growing company. Supporting multiple areas of the business, key duties include processing reservations and providing support to our operations network.

As part of supporting the Reservations Team, the successful candidate will be required to provide exceptional customer service to direct and wholesale clients. This will require proven interpersonal and customer service skills, plus the ability to understand and communicate the benefits of RedSands products and services.

The position will also provide support to the operations and depot network across Western Australia, Northern Territory and South Australia.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Reservations
  • Use of Rental Car Manager (RCM) for processing bookings and tracking departures and arrivals
  • Timely response to enquiries and booking requests
  • Identify booking trends and provide reports on these to the Reservations Manager
  • Fleet Management
  • Use Rental Car Manager (RCM) to effectively schedule bookings
  • Managing own time and effectiveness
  • Manage own work by having systems in place to identify priorities and schedule work to achieve these outcomes

Knowledge, skills and experience

Essential

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Energetic and positive team-orientated attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a similar customer service role with demonstrated attentiveness
  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised
  • Conflict management and resolution skills
  • Unrestricted current Drivers Licence
  • Ability to travel interstate and/or overseas, if required.

Desirable

  • Previous experience working in a tourism organisation
  • Working knowledge of Rental Car Manager (RCM) vehicle management system
  • Ability to speak German, French, Dutch or Belgian
  • Understanding of the European Travel Distribution System
