Founded in 1840 Sandalford Wines is one of Western Australia’s oldest, largest and most prestigious privately owned wineries.
We have recently completed a very tasteful refurbishment and expansion of both the popular Sandalford Dining and Bar areas (inside and out including the addition of a VIP room and extension of the outdoor dining area) and the Sandalford Cellar Door retail and wine tasting area.
Positioned on the doorstep of the scenic Swan Valley, our unique venue is equipped with facilities to cater for weddings, conferences, banquets, meetings and seminars, product launches, concert event functions, and cocktail receptions.
The role:
We are now looking for motivated Pizza Chef to join our Pizza team (Full time and Casual option available to the right candidate).
Ideally you should have experience in preparing and making dough, hand rolling / hand stretching pizza and expertise in cooking traditional woodfire pizza however our Pizza team is willing to train the right candidate with previous cooking experience.
You will prepare a variety of food products including meats, poultry, vegetables, sauces, and other food products ready for service. You will use a traditional wood-fired oven to cook pizza, prepared using authentic methods to high quality, utilising the freshest ingredients sourced locally from the best product suppliers.
The dedication to strive for perfection in every pizza is a must!
Sandalford Estate’s kitchen is a busy operation responsible for servicing multiple areas, and is set to relaunch completely, prior to the summer season. The successful candidate will be part of a large and dynamic kitchen team.
Employees will be required to work weekend and evening shifts.
Bringing your creative passion for cooking, and love for fresh and locally sourced produce, you must also:
- Have minimum 2 years experience working in a similar role
- Be aware of kitchen food safety and compliance operations
- Hold a passion for the industry and the people involved in it
- Be available and reliable to work weekends, nights, and some public holidays
- Be well presented, positive & vibrant individuals, with impeccable personal hygiene standards
- Have excellent communication skills
- Possess a positive, customer focused attitude
- Have experience working in a fast paced hospitality environment and have the ability to cope under pressure with efficiency
- Be dependable and trustworthy with a good work ethic
- Have/or able to obtain a Police Clearance
- Must have the right to work in Australia
