We are a busy, modern delicatessen in North Fremantle, open 7 days a week, serving up fresh made cabinet style food, pastries, heat and eat meals, salads, and cakes with a focus on great produce, simple, on trend dishes.
We are an extremely busy kitchen all year round and require a strong team capable of maintaining the company’s high standards in quality and freshness.
We are looking for a passionate Chef to join our team; either on full time or casual to work min 4 shifts per week including weekends.
The roles and responsibilities of this position include:
You are required to produce fresh, well prepared menu items for our cabinets, prepared meals and production.
Ability to work closely with our team in rolling out an everchanging menu of meals, grab and go packaged foods and cabinet food for our store
Preparing and presenting all cabinet food at the highest standards – presentation is key here and an eye for detail and a bit of creative flair is what we are after
Working in the production area of our business preparing cabinet options, cakes and more.
Ensuring that exceptional standards of hygiene, safety and cleanliness are maintained in the kitchens and cool rooms
Ensuring stock rotation of kitchen ingredients to maintain quality and freshness
The successful candidate will have a mix of technical and personal skills and meet the following criteria:
Minimum Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery
Minimum 3 years working experience
Be a good team player – take direction from senior team members, and work autonomously when needed.
Roster is 6am-2pm (no nights!), 4+ days per week.
Be creative and passionate about seasonal produce
Reliable, with an excellent work ethic
