Naturaliste Charters is a Premium Whale Watching Tour Operator and we are looking to recruit a new deckhand for our Whale Watching Tours
Departure locations include:
Bremer Bay (Dec – April with shared accommodation provided)
Augusta (May – August with transport provided from BSN/DUNS)
Dunsborough season (August – mid November)
Working shifts are generally a 2 week on, 1 week off roster.
Key Responsibilities include:
*Manage the deck activities of the vessel, cleaning, maintenance, throwing ropes etc
*Assist in the safe embarkation/disembarkation of all personnel and clients.
*Assist the Master as required.
*Provide commentary to guests regarding the Whale migrations and assist with any guest queries.
*Provide premium customer service to all passengers on board, including assisting with sea sick passengers.
About you:
*Ideally have at least 1-2 years experience as a Deckhand
*Be capable of confidently driving a tender
*Be flexible, honest and reliable
*Strong customer service focus
*Have a passion for Eco Tourism and wildlife
*Be a great team player!
*Ideally be based in the Margaret River region
