Responsibilities
Follow directions and tasks as set out by the vessel Master
Ensure you work ensuring the safety and welfare of all passengers and crew at all times
Be responsible for the safe and lawful navigation whenever on watch
Participate in all safety and training drills
assist in maintaining a clean interior and exterior of the vessel at all times
Be familiar with all vessel safety documentation
Maintenance of fishing and guest recreational equipment
Assist in food and galley situations
Ensure the safe operation and cleanliness of the vessel tenders
Assist passengers in embarking/disembarking from any vessel
Guide guests on tender fishing activities
Guide guests on land-based tours respecting DPIRD park wildlife and fauna regulations
Ensure the presence and serviceability of all safety equipment eg. life rafts, life jackets, etc.
Complete vessel safety inspections on a regular basis
Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
Required Qualifications
AMSA Medical
Senior first aid
STCW 95 CoST
RST – Responsible Service of Alcohol
Desirable Qualifications
Radio Operators Certificate
Australian Drivers Licence
Vessel Crowd management training
