An exciting opportunity is now available for a Sous Chef at the Hedland Hotel.
The Hedland Hotel has recently had a major refurbishment of its Kitchen, Food and Beverage Outlets, Conference Spaces and Public Areas that will deliver a mixture of alfresco dining with dedicated event spaces, a unique bar concept and multiple F&B Outlets
Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, you will assist in the smooth & successful operations of the hotel kitchen that services the restaurants, bars and the many functions and events hosted.
The right candidate will demonstrate culinary flair and genuine passion for the industry along with an undeniable pride for creating and delivering consistent, high-quality produce as they contribute in repositioning the Hedland Hotel menus to become the Pilbara’s top food and beverage offerings.
In the absence of the Executive Chef, assume the leadership and management responsibilities of the kitchen.
Maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment, to include proper storage of food, equipment, utensils and equipment.
Liaising with front of house and management regarding customers and kitchen service operations
Supervising and training cooks and kitchen staff
Cleaning, sanitising, and disinfecting all kitchen areas.
A thorough understanding of Food Safety principles and Workplace Health & Safety
