A neighbourhood pub originally built in 1906. The Oxford Hotel underwent renovations to lovingly restore the historic beauty of the Leederville favourite.

We pride ourselves on offering a relaxed family friendly dining experience, quality drinks and impeccable service.

Open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner on the ground floor, and with purpose-built facilities upstairs catering for a large number of weddings and corporate functions.

We are currently seeking a committed, enthusiastic Events Coordinator and Marketing Assistant to handle sales and delivery of all function activities.

 

The role is a maternity cover with a 6- 12 month full time contract.

 

You will have proven knowledge of food and beverage along with the confidence and ability to make recommendations, welcome and interact with guests, and create a truly memorable experience. A passion for hospitality, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and commitment to delivering superior customer service and attention to detail are minimum requirements for this role.

 

About the role:

·         Conduct site inspections before and after rostered hours

·         Coordinating all facets of functions and weddings

·         Meeting and communicating with clients, ensuring their requirements are met

·         Final detail meetings and preparing event orders

·         Liaise with the client to confirm requirements in a timely and professional manner

·         Attend relevant sales and operational meetings

·         Liaise with Hotel Manager to ensure delivery of staffing requirements

·         Ensure that there is a seamless hand over to the hotel manager and head chef

·         Respond to sales enquires via email, phone and social media platforms

·         Assist with devolving content for website, social media, advertising, marketing screens and EDMs

·         Other ad hoc marketing duties as required

 

 

About you:

·         Experience in event management or coordination with previous wedding experience

·         Passion for hospitality and all things functions and weddings

·         Can do attitude and happy to jump in and help others

·         An ability to build and maintain strong client relationships – you enjoy connecting with others

·         Past hands-on function floor experience

·         Current RSA and Covid Hygiene Certificate

·         Exceptional personal presentation and have a warm, personable yet professional disposition

·         Strong organisational and time management skills – you will know how to prioritise and have efficient systems in place

·         A positive attitude – even when in a tough situation you remain positive

 

 

The Event coordination position is a full-time role that requires flexible working hours including evenings and weekend work when required.
