Regional workshops set to continue in 2025-26

September 10, 2025

Now in its third year, Tourism WA and the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA (RCCIWA) are teaming up again to deliver practical, job-ready workshops right across regional WA in 2025-2026.

These sessions are designed for anyone working in tourism and hospitality, or thinking about getting started. The focus is on skills you can use straight away — whether that’s making the perfect coffee, leading a team, offering exceptional customer service or being equipped to offer first-aid in emergency situations.

Workshops cover a wide mix of topics, including supervisory skills for emerging managers, barista basics, tour guide essentials, first aid and wine fundamentals. Not every course runs in every town, but there’s always something on offer — and all are delivered by experienced industry professionals who bring real-world know-how to the training.

Some examples of planned workshops include:

  • Foundations of Hospitality: Customer service excellence (East Kimberley – Kununurra)
  • Tour Guide Know How: Learn the basics (Kalgoorlie-Boulder)
  • Hospitality Leadership Development (Onslow)
  • Thriving in Small Dynamic Teams: Managerial skills for hospitality and tourism operators (Exmouth)
  • Raise the Bar: Upskilling in wine, cocktail knowledge and presentation (Broome)
  • Stress Less: Navigate customer-facing roles with confidence and calm (Albany)
  • CPR Training for Hospitality & Tourism (Margaret River)

These workshops are great for people starting out, but they will also appeal if you’re already employed and want to build your confidence, learn new skills or take the next step in your career. They’re practical, focused and shaped around what local employers are looking for.

Over the past three years, these sessions have helped hundreds of people across WA strengthen their skills, meet others in the industry, and feel more confident at work. If you’re keen to do the same, now’s the time to get involved.
