Head Chef – Beachside Hospitality Precinct (Opening July 2026)
We are seeking an exceptional Head Chef with a genuine passion for food to lead the kitchen of our newly developed beachside hospitality precinct, opening in July 2026. This is a rare opportunity to shape a restaurant from the ground up while working in one of Western Australia’s most stunning coastal environments.
Located directly overlooking the ocean at Tarcoola Beach, our venue will combine a vibrant seafood restaurant, relaxed outdoor dining, and a premium function space with panoramic sea views. Our focus is on fresh, locally sourced ingredients, particularly the incredible seafood the Mid West region is known for.
We are looking for a creative culinary leader who loves working with seafood, values quality and simplicity, and wants to build a kitchen culture that is professional, supportive, and sustainable.
The Opportunity
As Head Chef, you will take the lead in designing and delivering a menu that celebrates the ocean and the region. Think fresh Western Rock Lobster, local fish, vibrant coastal flavours, and dishes designed for everything from relaxed sunset dining to weddings and special events.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, inspire, and manage the kitchen team, creating a positive and professional working environment
Design and develop seasonal menus that highlight fresh seafood and local produce
Oversee all food preparation, presentation, and quality standards
Manage kitchen operations including ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships
Maintain food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
Work collaboratively with management to create dining experiences for restaurant guests, weddings, and functions
Train and mentor chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff
Manage food costings and kitchen budgets while maintaining exceptional quality
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step into a leadership role
Strong passion for seafood and coastal cuisine
Creativity and confidence in menu design and kitchen leadership
Ability to build and lead a high-performing kitchen team
Strong organisational and operational skills
Commitment to quality, consistency, and guest experience
A positive attitude and a passion for hospitality
