The WA Government has announced major commitments to help develop tourism and hospitality skills over the next two years, attract workers from interstate and overseas and fill job vacancies now and in the future.

New report shines a light on WA and Perth’s affordability
The cost of living is more affordable in Perth and Western Australia than other major Australian capital cities, according to an independent report by Deloitte Access Economics. The report found that Western Australians benefit from significantly lower cost of living and high average household income relative to other parts of the country.

The newly signed East Kimberley and Pilbara Designated Area Migration Agreements (DAMAs) have been welcomed by the AHA(WA), as they will play a critical role in helping local businesses address labour shortages.
REGIONAL WORKER ACCOMMODATION SUBSIDY (CLOSED)
The Regional Workers Travel and Accommodation Support Scheme was extended to tourism and hospitality workers in WA’s regional areas and the program is now open to new applicants.
