King Road Brewing Company

King Road Brewing Company is, at its core, a family venue. We rely on the bonds and friendships created by the family with the community and staff to carry over to our customers and to be conveyed through our service philosophy. We also understand that hospitality is an extremely tough industry to maintain a social life outside of work, and with the right team we will be able to break those molds. We understand everyone has different needs and schedules and we do our utmost to work around you.

Our venue began about ten years ago making our own cider and sharing it friends in the neighborhood. This organically blossomed into the idea to become a brewery, and five years ago we opened our doors to the public. We operate on a waste-not philosophy, and have utilized a significant amount of reused and second-hand building materials in the construction of our venue.

The actual brew-house itself has been onsite and installed for about two and a half years and Steve Wearing has been doing magical things with it. We have a large core range of nine beers and ciders, and produce about eight new small batch seasonals a year. There is an exciting future ahead at KRB. Our shorter-term goals are expanding our infrastructure to increase production. This includes building larger cool rooms with a purpose built shed, as well as more bright tanks and fermenting tanks. With this we’ll be able to increase our fermentation space by about 60% and produce even higher volumes of our award and trophy winning beers like our Strata IPA (Perth Royal Beer Show & Australian International Beer Awards Trophy Winner) and our many Gold Medal winning beers like our trusty and consistently mouth wateringly good Pale Ale.

The higher production capacity will also allow us to have more room for our vibrant seasonals like the Wet Hop Ale that we partner up with Preston Valley Hops each year to make this true seasonal release – only able to be made during the hop harvest window. We teamed up with Preston Valley Hops again this year, to get some vibrant and super fresh hop cones – they were picked in the morning and in the kettle just after lunch. Using the hops ‘wet’ (ie not dried) delivers vibrant and complex hop characters.

There is always something new going on at King Road Brewing Company, and we are looking for staff with a positive attitude to join our team and family. There will be boundless room for growth within the company, and there is always a chance to learn new things.
