
We are currently seeking a customer service focused individual with a positive attitude to work alongside our team at the Western Australia Visitor Centre on a casual basis for 1-2 shifts per week. Ideal for any tourism and travel student looking to start or gain expereince in the local industry.
The Role:
- Providing general sightseeing information and advice to visitors to Western Australia. Consultations are conducted face to face, on the phone, across emails and various social media channels
- Focus on booking a diverse range of travel services such as tours, accommodation, transport and other travel related products
- Other general office administration
Essential to the role:
Availability on weekends and Public Holidays.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Extensive Knowledge and Travel Experience in Perth and Western Australia
- A dedication and passion for delivering exceptional Customer Service, ability to multi-task and learn on the job are essential
- Competent in MS Office Suite, various online booking sites and general internet research skills
- A degree/diploma in Tourism (or currently studying)
- Experience in a Visitor Centre Environment or Retail Travel Agency is desirable but essential
- Strong experience in making travel bookings and arrangements is desirable but not essential
- Ability to speak a second language such as German, French, Japanese or Chinese (Mandarin) is desirable but not essential
