Green Jade Asian Restaurant is a popular dining venue in Bunbury, known for its authentic Asian cuisine and commitment to high-quality food and service. We are currently seeking an experienced Cook to join our professional kitchen team.

 

 

 

Position Summary

 

The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Asian dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s recipes and quality standards. You will ensure food is prepared efficiently, safely, and attractively for our customers.

 

 

 

Key Duties

 

 

 

Prepare, season, and cook a variety of Asian-style dishes (stir-fry, rice, noodles, soups, etc.)

 

Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control to meet restaurant standards

 

Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering and inventory management

 

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen and food preparation areas

 

Follow food safety regulations and comply with workplace health and safety standards

 

Assist in menu development and daily specials when required

 

Supervise kitchen helpers or apprentices when needed

 

 

 

Skills & Experience Required

 

 

 

Minimum 3 + years’ experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen

 

Proven experience preparing Asian cuisine

 

Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

 

Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

 

Good teamwork and communication skills

 

Relevant Australian qualifications or equivalent in commercial cookery

 

 

 

Salary and Employment Details

 

Annual Salary: AUD $78,052

 

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

 

Work Hours: 38 hours per week

 

Location: Bunbury, Western Australia
