I love that while I can enjoy working with a small team and I’m still exposed to meeting new people from all around the world. During this role I have made some great long-term friendships.
Tell us how you spend your days. What do you do?
I spend my days at the caravan park doing front office administration, simply put I’m working on bookings and communicating with and managing guests. I’ll jump into cleaning too if needed.
So, how did you get into tourism and hospitality?
I didn’t always plan on working in the industry but a sea change to Gracetown helped me make the decision.
How would you describe yourself?
I would describe myself as hardworking, organised and enjoyable. All of which are important in a customer facing tourism and hospitality role.
What do you love most about the industry?
I love that while I can enjoy working with a small team and I’m still exposed to meeting new people from all around the world. During this role I have made some great long-term friendships.
What’s the best part of your job?
It’s definitely meeting new people every day.
What’s your best advice for anyone starting out?
In tourism and hospitality, it’s important to be flexible as no two days are the same.
And what’s next for you?
I think we will stay working for a while so we can travel more.
