We are looking for a professional restaurant manager with exceptional leadership and customer service skills to maintain the high standard of our food & beverage offering. You will need proven management skills and experience in the Front of House operation.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by greeting guests, addressing inquiries and concerns, and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor guest satisfaction levels and take proactive measures to enhance the dining experience and exceed guest expectations.
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities, to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, food costs, and operating expenses to achieve budgeted targets and maximise profitability.
- Implement policies, procedures, and systems to maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health & safety regulations.
- Train and supervise restaurant staff, including food & beverage attendants of all grades.
- Schedule employee shifts, ensuring adequate coverage and optimal staffing levels to meet business demands.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to motivate and develop team members.
- Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests and employees, promoting a culture of hospitality and teamwork.
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to develop innovative and appealing menu offerings that meet customer preferences and market trends.
- Conduct regular inspections of food and beverage quality, presentation, and portion sizes to maintain high standards of excellence.
- Monitor financial performance metrics, such as sales, expenses, and profitability, and take corrective actions as needed to achieve financial goals.
Requirements
· minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
· strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
· confident and able to work well under periods of increased work load.
· managerial experience in hospitality with extensive food & beverage knowledge
· Proven experience with managing rosters, CoGs and working to budgets.
· willingness to work a flexible roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays
· working rights within Australia
Qualifications
Hold a current RSA Certificate and Approved Managers Certificate
Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management (desirable)
Food Safety Supervisor (SITSS00069)
