We are seeking a Chef/Cook for the newly reopened Toodyay Hotel in Toodyay, WA.

The heritage listed hotel (Formerly named Freemasons Hotel) is over 160 years old and has been largely doormant for eight months until recently reopening in early April following rennovations. This is a small, relaxed tavern within the Hotel which provides 13 accommodation options.

Located 85km North East of Perth this would suit someone living locally or commuting from Northam, Mundaring, Midland or Swan area. This is a full-time position of 30-40 hours per week, with evening and weekend availability a must either on a full-time or casual basis.

As a Qualified Chef or Cook at the Toodyay Hotel you need to be enthusiastic, keen to learn and are capable of working in a busy environment.

Our ideal candidate;

  • Has at least 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen cooking pub/modern Australian cuisine.
  • Possesses sound knife skills and an understanding of modern cooking techniqurs
  • Is trustworthy and has a strong sense of integrity
  • Has an ability to work autonomously and independetly
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills;
  • Neat personal presentation;
  • Is a team player
  • Flexibility to work spilt shifts across all tavern trading hours, including weekends.
  • Applicants must have reliable transport and be punctual.
