Key Responsibilities:
As our General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth, enhancing visitor experiences, and ensuring the sustainability of our centre. Your responsibilities will include:
Dynamic Leadership: Lead our energetic team towards excellence, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and passion for showcasing the wonders of the Goldfields.
Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain strategic alliances with tourism businesses, inbound operators, wholesalers, and other stakeholders to maximize the marketing and distribution of the city’s tourism product.
Visitor Engagement: Increase visitation by implementing innovative strategies and leveraging your expertise in both tourism and merchandise sales to exceed annual sales targets.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with a board of experienced professionals, providing them with timely reports, administration support, and ensuring effective communication to drive continuous improvement.
Compliance and Governance: Oversee all legislative and statutory obligations, ensuring the Visitor Centre operates in accordance with best practice policies and procedures.
Financial Management: Demonstrate proficiency in budget preparation, financial reporting, and contribute to the overall financial success of the organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
– Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the tourism industry.
– Strong knowledge of tourism operations, merchandise sales, and strategic planning.
– Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
– Demonstrated ability to drive growth and meet sales targets.
