Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Driver Guide (multilingual) to lead small group tours across the stunning landscapes of Western Australia. As a Driver Guide, you will be responsible for not only safely navigating the roads but also creating an immersive and memorable experience for our guests. This role requires a combination of excellent driving skills, in-depth knowledge of Western Australia’s attractions, and outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

1.  Tour Operations:

  • Safely operate company vehicles, ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers.
  • Plan and execute daily itineraries, making adjustments as needed to accommodate group interests and unforeseen circumstances

2.  Guiding and Interpretation:

  • Provide engaging and informative commentary about the history, culture, and natural features of Western Australia
  • Facilitate group discussions, answering questions, and fostering a positive and interactive experience

3.  Customer Service:

  • Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for passengers, ensuring their needs and expectations are met
  • Assist with luggage handling, hotel check-ins, and other logistical aspects of the tour

4.  Logistics and Maintenace:

  • Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and ensure all safety protocols are adhered to
  • Coordinate with support staff to manage logistics, including accommodation arrangements and meal stops.

5.  Emergency Response:

  • Be prepared to handle emergency situations, including vehicle breakdowns or medical incidents, by following established protocols and ensuring passenger safety

Requirements:

  • Fluency in German and English
  • In-depth knowledge of Western Australia’s geography, history, and attractions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience as a driver guide or in a similar role
  • Familiarity with small group dynamics and customer-focused service
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and unexpected challenges
  • Valid LR-B driver’s license with a clean driving record and passenger transport drivers (PTD) authorisation
  • Holder of a valid HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificate
  • Enthusiasm for sharing the beauty and uniqueness of Western Australia with visitors
