Responsible for implementing key actions from the City’s Tourist Destination Strategy, you will be working with key stakeholders across the local, regional and the wider Perth tourism industry with a focus on developing and implementing a cohesive marketing plan to promote tourism development in Rockingham.
Self-motivated with exemplary communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal and network building skills, you have extensive experience in the Tourism and/or Marketing industry. Additionally, you have a well-developed understanding of modern marketing tactics and trends to influence and attract visitors, predominately intrastate and interstate.
To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria when completing your online application:
1. Diploma or Degree level qualification in Tourism, Marketing, Event Management or experience deemed equivalent
2. Excellent public relations skills, with the ability to develop and maintain networks and contacts
3. Comprehensive understanding of the local, regional and WA tourism industry and tourism operations
4. Well-developed knowledge of, and experience in modern marketing tactics and trends, with specific reference to destination marketing
5. Developed experience in tourism website development and social media campaigns
We are offering a gross salary of $97,537 per annum and:
- 11% superannuation with the opportunity to co-contribute up to 5%
