FT & P T Traineeships – Certificate III in Hospitality (Food and Beverage Attendant)

A traineeship is an excellent way to achieve a nationally recognised qualification whilst working in a real job. Traineeships are available to anyone of working age. Becoming a trainee could be the best thing you ever do. You’ll earn a wage and work towards a qualification that could take you places. The successful candidate will undergo on-the-job training to achieve SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality. A dedicated ATC Work Smart Field Officer and trainer will assist you every step of the way. You’ll be able to contact your mentor and trainer when you need them, plus they regularly visit you in the workplace.
The role:
This qualification will develop your practical skills and knowledge to undertake a range of tasks in a restaurant hospitality environment.
Duties include:
Collecting dirty dishes from tables, clearing & wiping tables
Detailed knowledge of menu items
Undertaking general waiting duties of both food and/or beverage including delivering meals and drinks to tables
Replenishment & rotation of stock on the floor (i.e. sugars, salt & peppers etc)
Setting tables including polishing and wrapping cutlery
General store cleaning (using cleaning schedules)
Taking customer orders and adding value and generating sales through up selling and second selling
Making and mixing of all beverages (including supplying, dispensing or mixing of liquor, coffee, tea, frappes and other beverages)
POS transactions and Receipt of monies
Ensuring all customer areas are kept clean and orderly at all times
Limited additional cleaning duties including washing dishes and tidying dish area
About you:
To be successful in this position, you must be highly motivated with excellent organisation and customer service skills. You must be willing to complete your Certificate III in Hospitality with the support and guidance of ATC Work Smart.

Completed year 10 with good results in English and Maths
Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Good time management skills and able to multitask to get through peak work load business periods
Attention to detail to meet organization quality standards
Be extremely reliable and dependable
