During the Abrolhos part of our season, the mother ship ECO ABROLHOS uses an 18m auxiliary ex Cray-fishing vessel called the DHU FORCE for cray pot pulling, fishing, snorkelling and general passenger transfers.

It’s a well laid out and tidy vessel that requires someone that enjoys fishing! It’s a duel ticketed vessel being Master 24m/Med 2.

When the ECO ABROLHOS relocates to the Kimberley the role transitions into a watchkeeper and Kimberley guide. This will give the candidate great watchkeeping sea-time on a 35m vessel and ability to learn the the Kimberley region as well. The candidate will enjoy taking the passengers on guided walks and fishing expeditions through different reef systems and rivers.

When the ECO ABROLHOS returns the Abrolhos Islands, the DHU FORCE is utilised again until the end of the season.

This role can be suited to someone who has just received their qualifications as on the job training is provided given that they have knowledge of demersal fishing and crayfishing in a commercial or recreational basis.
